This beautiful humming bird built a nest in the bush right outside our front door. She laid 2 tiny eggs in the nest. She diligently watched over those eggs and kept them warm for about 2 weeks.
One morning the chicks hatched.
Like a good Mom, she fed the chicks and they grew and grew. They grew so much and so fast that after a short while they barely fit in their nest.
Finally, they were ready to leave the nest.
This one here contemplated her first flight for a long time. Her mother cheered her on from a nearby tree. Finally she took the leap and our nest is empty.
Aww! How cool that you captured all that! I've never seen a baby hummer. So precious! :-)
