The Incident

There was an incident this morning. I still haven't gotten all of the details but it involved crying, evasion of the truth, Leo, John Carroll and an "X-ray Machine". I don't know if I will ever get the entire story but from what I have been able to piece together Leo wanted to X-ray John Carroll on his X-ray machine (plastic tool bench in his room). Apparently John had not signed a consent and opted off the "machine". Fortunately John was more frightened than hurt. We have a new family rule. No X-Raying without Full Written Consent.

Hang in there John. You will not be the baby brother (guinea pig) for much longer.

Passion Fruit

Leo started his first Piano Lesson. He was so nervous about it he did not want to go. He kept asking if we could delay it - "maybe I go next week". Bobby met us at the studio and took him to class. After 30 minutes Leo came bouncing out of the building and jumped in the car. "I LOVE piano lessons and I LOVE Miss Catherine", he exclaimed. Then he said, "Can I go back tomorrow?" For the rest of the day Leo was on cloud 9. It's like his passion was unleashed. He carried his piano books everywhere - inside, outside. He would sit down, take them out of his bag, sort them, stack them, put them back in. He's skipping everywhere and you can't wipe the smile off of his face. Later in the afternoon he asked me if he could help me. I said, "Yes, can you please put away these oranges and apples we just bought?" He opened the fridge and the fruit bin and one by one he kissed each piece of fruit and put it in the bin. When he was done he realized he had not kissed the existing fruit in the bin so he made sure he got his lips on every piece. When he was done he said, "Mommy, I kiss all the fruit." Ah... my happy little Leo is back!
